Elegance Meets Storm: Music of Tchaikovsky, Mozart, and Mendelssohn–Classics I

Mozart’s 20th Piano Concerto is nicknamed “Romantic” for its dramatic and stormy presence, foreshadowing the music of Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and Mendelssohn. This thrilling work represents all that we love about Wintergreen Performing Arts. It is artistry at its most refined, and it showcases the skill and musicianship of our artists. We have surrounded this masterpiece with two pieces of the actual Romantic Era: Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings (one of the first orchestra pieces WPA ever presented) and Mendelssohn’s exciting “Italian” Symphony.

Join us 45 minutes before each performance for a pre-concert "Inside the Music" discussion.

This program is also presented on Sunday, July 12 at 3 pm
