The German language has a reputation of being angular and unfriendly, but it actually is the perfect vessel for the lyricism of the human voice.  With a natural rhythm, a variety of vowel colors, and rich and dynamic consonants, German offers the composer and the singer an inspired platform.

Join VCU Professor Cynthia Donnell a recognized expert in the field of vocal diction as she helps the students of the Vocal Intensive master the language that inspired Schubert's over 200songs.
