New this year: sit back and relax on Friday nights with Salsa, Bluegrass, Motown, and the ever-popular Movie Night!
All Fiery Friday concerts take place in the Dunlop Pavilion at 7:30 pm – $35.
Our fifth annual movie night is a spooktacular evening not to be missed. Enjoy famous silent movies featuring world-premiere scores played by Wintergreen Festival Artists and conducted by Artistic Director Erin Freeman. This year’s double-header includes Buster Keaton’s hilarious Haunted Mansion (music by Academy composition students) and the 1920 Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde starring John Barrymore (music by Daron Hagen).
This year, we are revamping our annual celebration of all things bluegrass. We begin on Friday evening with an exciting show by Charlottesville’s Love Canon – a band that combines the great hits of the 80s and 90s with a mountain music sensibility. Then, stick around for Saturday morning when we pepper the Resort with traditional Appalachian music, fun for the entire family.
“I heard it through the Grapevine” that Masters of Soul is returning for this Wintergreen tradition. With the band’s silky tones and kickin’ instrumentals, we’ll be “Dancing in the Streets”, or rather on the Mountain.
